Eating Right?!
The Book
Thoughts

August 2nd: A recent article in The Wall Street Journal presented what I expected to be presented...that if we take care of ourselves, you know, eat right and exercise and such, we can reduce the chance of getting Alzheimer's disease. Since eating right and exercising can prevent or moderate so many, many other diseases, it makes sense such behavior could help fight off the terrible systems of Alzheimer's. More good news.

March 24th: The advise we have been getting, from everyone everywhere for ever, makes exercise too hard. Now look at the stupid, and I mean stupid, report from of all places the Journal of the American Medical Association. I will have more time for this later today or tomorrow,  because this has to be dealt with, but the article says women of normal weight should exercise 60 minutes a day 7 days a week to avoid gaining weight over time if they don't want to diet. Well here is some news for the medical people who don't seem to understand the simple:
1. If we eat right we can't gain weight.
2. Dieting causes weight gain over time.
3. Exericising that much is virtually impossible. No way no how. I have been a runner for 41 years and could no more do that than I could be a fat cow jumping over the moon.
It is no wonder we have so many problems with excess weight and all the resulting health issues. The good news is it gives me something to do: get involved to help with good information. I love doing it so stick with me, but right now I have to go exericse, for 30 minutes!
